Assam reports 4,078 Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours, while India recorded lowest number of daily Covid-19 cases in 18 days

The state of Assam on Friday reported 4,078 Covid-19 cases with 76 fresh deaths. Kamrup Metro district recorded 1,107 new infections in the last 24 hours with 20 new deaths. While, in Dibrugarh 352 new cases were detected. The health department of Assam conducted 44,057 with a positivity rate of 9.26%.

While, 4,168 Covid-19 patients have been discharged on Friday and currently there are 41, 978 active cases in the state.

Meanwhile India on Friday recorded the lowest number of daily COVID-19 cases in 18 days as 3,26,098 tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours. The total number of coronavirus cases in the country has now risen to 2,43,72,907. India’s daily coronavirus deaths also declined as 3,890 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours.
