Assam reports around 6,000 Covid-19 cases with 81 deaths in the last 24 hours
The state of Assam on Friday recorded 6,066 New cases of coronavirus, pushing the active cases count to 52,816. The positivity rate is 5.88 per cent. The deaths in the state has escalated to 2,588 with 81 new deaths reported.
The overall caseload of the State has touched 3,59,640. Of the new cases, Kamrup Metro registered 907, Cachar 436, Naogaon 433, Kamrup R 420, Dibrugah 311. Total of 1,03,158 tests were conducted in last 24 hours.
The District wise deaths are: Kamrup Metro(24), Dibrugah (7), Sivasagar (7), Jorhat (5), Darang (4), Tinsukia (4), Golaghat (3), Hojai (3), Nalbari (3), Barpeta (2), Cachar (2), Kamrup R (2), Lakhimpur (2), Sonitpur (2), South Salmara (2), Baksa(1), Chirag (1), Dhubri (1), Dima Haso (1), Goalpara (1), Hailakandi (1), Karbialong (1), Nagaon(1), Udalguri (1), 4,987 cured patients were discharged.
