Guwahati, June 27 (NKTV): Devajit Saikia, Secretary, Assam Cricket Association, along with several senior government officials, on 26th June 2021, took part in a first-of-its-kind virtual meeting convened by Bimal Borah, Minister, Sports and Youth Welfare, Government of Assam under the aegis of Sports and Youth Welfare Department from Dispur for helping Assam Cricket Association get allotment of Government Khas land for the purpose of developing cricket infrastructure.
In the video conference held with the District Revenue Authorities of 8 districts, namely, Dibrugarh, Sonitpur, Tinsukia, Karimganj, Udalguri, Hailakandi, Lakhimpur and Sivasagar, the minister directed the concerned revenue authorities to work expeditiously and produce positive results to that effect.
It is to be noted that Assam Cricket Association has been putting in relentless and comprehensive efforts to take the cricket infrastructural scene of the State several notches up with the objective of producing many more quality players.
