In a sensational incident, the Assam Police with the help of Dubai Police arrested one Wazid Hussein from Charaideo of Assam for allegedly stealing a luxury watch of late Argentian football legend Diego Maradona. According to reports, the Assam Police with help of Dubai Police and other Indian law agencies recovered the stolen watch.
Chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted “In an act of international cooperation @assampolice has coordinated with @dubaipoliceHQ through Indian federal LEA to recover a heritage @Hublot watch belonging to legendary footballer Late Diego Maradona and arrested one Wazid Hussein. Follow up lawful action is being taken.”
Accused Wazid Hussein was arrested in Moranhat, Charaideo in his father-in-law’s house. According to reports, Wazid had stolen the Maradona’s watch while he was working in a private firm and then returned to Assam back in the month of August this year.
