Baksa Police arrest Web Portal journalist for posting pro-Taliban post in social media

Guwahati, August 21 (NKTV): The Assam Police has arrested a news portal journalist named Rafikul Islam for updating a post in support of Taliban in social media platform. The portal scribe has been arrested from Salbari of Baksa district. According to the Baksa Police, the journalist worked in three web portals.

The Police further also added that the detained was also a teacher in a private school in Salbari. The Police has registered a case against him under 66 IT act of 120B/153A/A1A/153B(1A/1C)/298/505(1B/1C)/505(2)/39(1B).

Till now Assam Police has arrested 14 people in Assam for posting pro-Taliban posts in social media.
