Bollywood star Dia Mirza’s concern for Kaziranga
Guwahati, June 04 (NKTV): On May 27, Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma had raised a proposal to initiate Helicopter Tourism at the Kaziranga National, wherein tourists visiting the national park shall be able to enjoy the wilderness of Kaziranga from a helicopter. The CM also directed officials of the Forest Department to work on a plan to implement the same. However, Bollywood actress Dia Mirza has come out strongly against the step.
Dia Mirza, who is also an environmentalist, is of the opinion that while the helicopters will be an illustrious initiative, at the same time, the noise created by the helicopters shall disrupt habitual life of the animals of Kaziranga.
