Amid the surge in Covid-19 cases in the state of Assam, the double storey building of Brindaban Supermart in Kahilipara will be used as a Covid Care Center, said Garima Saikia Garg. In a Facebook update Garima Garg wrote, “In view of the worsening Covid-19 situation in the state, we have decided to give our two floored building of Brindaban Supermart in Kahilipara to be used as Covid Care Center.”
She further added that “Two trucks of Brindaban Theatre will be used to help carry Covid-19 essential stuff and for medical help and it will be given to the state government for its proper use.”
Assam on Wednesday reported 4,826 Covid-19 cases with 55 deaths. The Covid-19 death in the state crossed highest single day mark in last 24 hours. Kamrup Metro district detected 1,383 cases in the last 24 hours. Dibrugarh district also reported 380 cases, while Kamrup Rural reported 370 cases.
