Guwahati, July 29 (NKTV): Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) Chief Executive Member Pramod Boro has expressed serious concern over the inter state conflict at Lailapur along the Assam-Mizoram border and demanded early solutions of the internal conflict through the deep discussion.
Addressing media persons, Boro said that the inter state land dispute issue was unfortunate and unwanted. He condemned the Lailapur incident which had claimed the lives of seven Assam Police personnel.
“Border dispute is not a new issue. Border land dispute along the states like Nagaland, Meghalaya and Mizoram has been there since long” Boro said adding that the border land dispute must be solved through building up of good relations with states across the region.
“Citizens want peace and harmony. Both the states must take strong steps to solve the land dispute issues with proper mechanism and strategies” the CEM added.
He has urged the Centre to solve the inter state land dispute with a strategy to build a unified society.
