CM Himanta Biswa Sarma Worships Maa Durga on Mahanavami, Prays for State’s Prosperity

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma observed the auspicious occasion of Basanti Mahanavami by praying for the well-being of the people of Assam and offering worship at the feet of Maa Durga.

On social media, the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) Assam shared that CM Sarma performed the sacred rituals of Sandhi Puja and Mahanavami Puja, seeking Maa Durga’s blessings for strength, harmony, and the prosperity of Assam. He further extended his warm wishes to the people, expressing hope that these divine moments would bring peace, prosperity, and spiritual fulfillment to all.

Earlier, CM Sarma also visited several Durga Puja pandals in Kokrajhar on the occasion of Maha Ashtami on October 11, 2024. Accompanied by BTC Chief Pramod Boro, MP Joyanta Basumatary, and MLA Lawrence Islary, Sarma visited the puja pandals at Kokrajhar’s main market, Gaur Nagar, Shanti Nagar, Subhaspalli, and Depot Road.

CM Sarma expressed his joy at witnessing people from various communities come together to offer peaceful prayers for unity and brotherhood. He wished that the blessings of Goddess Durga would bring peace to everyone’s hearts and foster harmony among all.
