Guwahati, June 21 (NKTV): India has reported 53,256 new cases of Covid-19 in the past 24 hours, as reported by the Union Health Ministry. It may be mentioned here that this figure is the lowest daily count in India in 88 days.
Presently, India has 7,02,887 active cases.
The active cases now comprise 2.35 per cent of the total infections, while the national Covid-19 recovery rate has improved to 96.36 per cent.
The daily positivity rate was recorded at 3.83 per cent . “It has been less than 5 per cent for 14 consecutive days” the ministry said, adding the weekly positivity rate has declined to 3.32 per cent. Recoveries continue to outnumber daily new cases for the 39th consecutive day.
