Star Indian cricketer and Punjab Kings skipper KL Rahul has been hospitalized after he complained of severe abdomen pain on Sunday night, 1st May. According to reports, he was taken to an emergency room for further tests which revealed that he had acute appendicitis.
The Punjab Kings franchise has said that KL Rahul has to undergo surgery and might be off the field for sometime. The Punjab Kings said in a statement, “KL Rahul complained of a severe abdomen pain last night and after not responding to medication, he was taken to the emergency room for further tests which revealed that he was diagnosed with acute appendicitis. It will be resolved surgically and for safety measures he has been transferred to the hospital for the same.”
The franchise also tweeted, “Praying for KL Rahul’s health and speedy recovery.” KL Rahul had scored 331 runs in this season of IPL for the Punjab Kings and was also leading the Orange Cap race.
