Guwahati, September 1 (NKTV): Decisions of the Cabinet meeting held under the Chairmanship of Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma held at Koinadhora State Guest House on September 01, 2021 are as follows:
- The Cabinet has decided to appoint International Boxing Champion Jamuna Boro and International Archery Champion Sanjay Boro as Excise Inspectors. They will be given appointment letters on September 03, the birthday of Arjun Awardee Bhogeswar Baruah.
- Cabinet has decided to appoint Dr Sambhuddha Dhar, as neurosurgeon in Silchar Medical College and Hospital.
- As a part of administrative reform to disburse amount to the beneficiaries under Orunodoi Scheme, the Cabinet decided to do away with the FoC system.
- Taking cognizance of the Advasi and Tea Tribe Community’s demands, Cabinet has decided to rename Rajib Gandhi National Park as Orang National Park.
- Cabinet has approved the sanction of Rs 660 crore to the Deputy Commissioners of different districts of the state which they incurred as COVID expenditure for managing the pandemic.
- Under Prarthana Scheme, the Cabinet has decided to give 6.5 thousand beneficiaries (next of the kin) of those died of Covid, a one-time grant of one lakh rupees. The Guardian Ministers of each district will hand over the amount to the beneficiaries on the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi on October 02.
