The Assam Cricket Association proudly extends its heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Devajit Saikia on his election as the Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). A delegation from the ACA, led by President Mr. Taranga Gogoi, Secretary Mr. Tridib Konwar, and members of the ACA Apex Council, along with former officials, felicitated Mr. Devajit Saikia at the BCCI office in Mumbai today, honoring his remarkable achievement.

Mr Saikia’s journey in cricket administration stands as a reflection of his visionary leadership and steadfast dedication. Having served as Vice President of ACA from 2016 to 2019, and later as Secretary from 2019-2022, his tenure has been marked by a remarkable commitment to the development of cricket in Assam. Under his stewardship, Assam cricket witnessed incredible progress, particularly at the grassroots level, where he played a pivotal role in nurturing young talent and elevating the game across the region.
In his new role as Secretary of the BCCI, Mr Saikia will spearhead efforts to further expand the sport, ensuring that cricket continues to be a leading force in the international sports arena. His election marks a historic milestone for Assam’s cricketing journey, and the association is confident that under his guidance, cricket will continue to thrive and reach unprecedented heights.
