Encounter breaks out between terrorists & security forces in J&K’s Pulwama

In the Kashmir Valley, an encounter broke out between terrorists and security forces in Nehama area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, a short while ago.

According to police, a joint team of Police, Army and CRPF launched a joint Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) on specific information about the presence of terrorists in the area. However, as the joint team of forces approached the suspected spot, terrorists fired upon them, which was retaliated triggering an encounter.

Meanwhile, the encounter in the area was continuing till the reports last came in. Details are awaited.
