FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO), Northeast Chapter is organising the 5th Edition of Flo Bazaar on 23 rd and 24 th of September 2022. This two-day event is being held at Nedfi House, G.S. Road, Guwahati from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Flo Bazaar is one of the finest presentations by women entrepreneurs across the Northeast and India. It is expected to enhance the pathways created by FLO Northeast to truly empower women in their businesses leading to Atmanirbharta – Self-dependence. A total of 56 women entrepreneurs from all over the country are participating in this robust Bazaar to showcase their products and services. It is a celebration of Shakti – strengthening her attitude, knowledge, talent and image. Moreover, free stalls are being provided to FLO’s skilling initiative Ramdhenu members. Handloom, fashion, apparel, gifting, furnishing, jewellery, food and beyond is expected to tickle the palette of consumers. It is an opportunity and an invitation to visit each stall and indulge in meeting all exhibitors and their spectrum of products. We are looking at products ranging from sustainable, eco-friendly, slow fashion, ethical, handloom, handicraft and the list goes on. When all these 56 women come together under one platform, we get to know them personally and the path they have followed to reach this point.
This exhibition cum Bazaar is an opportunity to connect with these women entrepreneurs from all walks of life, appreciate their hard work, give helpful feedback as well as encourage each one of them. We must encourage and support these small businesses to help them grow towards self- sustenance. This exhibition cum Bazaar is unlike any other, as this is a true showcase of women empowerment by an all female organisation where women are empowered and given assistance to grow their home-grown businesses. Ms. Parnalekha Paul, a versatile persona from Mumbai will be gracing the event as the Chief Guest. The event is in association with Nedfi and being supported by Prag News, Hotel Gateway Grandeur, Hotel Lily, Assam Tribune, 92.7 Big FM, and the View Restaurant. The inaugural ceremony will start at 10:30 AM on 23 rd September, with the presence of all the dignitaries and participating entrepreneurs. This will be followed by a Press Conference at 11:15 AM. A unique Inclusivity Fashion Show will be held at 7:00 pm on the same day where 16 senior citizens, LGBTQ community participants, warriors and survivors will walk the ramp. More than 20 makeup artists voluntarily offered to do free makeover of all the participants of the fashion show. The 5 th edition of FLO Bazaar Northeast is an initiative by FICCI FLO Northeast Chairperson Mrs. Meghali Das and her team.
FICCI FLO is the women wing of the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), which is the apex body of industry and commerce in India. FLO has its headquarters in New Delhi. As an all-India organisation for women, FLO has 17 Chapters pan India and represents close to 8,000 plus women entrepreneurs, professionals and corporate executives. The Northeast Chapter of FICCI FLO was formed in the year 2007. NEDFi is a Public Financial Institution under Section 4A of the Companies Act 1956 and was registered as an NBFC in 2002 with RBI. NEDFi provides financial assistance to micro, small, medium and large enterprises for setting up industrial, infrastructure and agri-allied projects in the Northeastern Region of India and also Microfinance through MFI/NGOs. Besides financing, the Corporation offers Consultancy and Advisory services to the state Governments, private sectors and other agencies. Invited guests from different establishments of Northeast India, media members and members of FICCI FLO Northeast are expected to be present on the occasion.
