The State Round episodes of the 3rd Edition of Fit India Quiz is set to be aired on the official YouTube
of Fit India starting from 18th June 2024. This is India’s biggest quiz on sports and fitness quiz having a cash prize of R 3.25 crore, that is taking place across 36 States and Union territories of India. A total of 92 episodes will be streamed on the YouTube channel of Fit India.
A total of 256 school teams from 36 states/UT’s will be competing to become the State/UT champion for their respective States/UTs. The 36 State/UT champions will further compete in the National Finals of the Fit India Quiz.
The 3rd edition of Fit India Quiz(FIQ) 2023, was launched on 29th August 2023 on the occasion of National Sports Day with an objective to provide a National platform for students to showcase their knowledge about fitness and sports, also endeavours in its philosophy to create awareness among students about India’s rich sporting history, including centuries-old indigenous sports, our national and regional sporting heroes of the past and how traditional Indian lifestyle activities hold the key to a Fit Life for all.
The 3rd edition of the quiz has seen a registration of 103,671 students from 41.789 schools from across the nation. The Preliminary Round took place on 21 & 22 December 2023 which was conducted by the National Testing Agency through mobile based test in 13 languages. The results of this phase were declared on 8th March, 2024. After the Preliminary Rounds, 256 schools were selected for the State/UT round. Among the selected students, 44% were girl students. The selected schools formed a team of two students by nominating additional student from their schools and they will further compete in the State/UT championship through a series of web rounds.
The State rounds of this edition is being streamed on Fit India Youtube channel from 18th June onwards. The Assam state round is the inaugural episode in which audience will see eight (8) schools of Assam contesting for the State Finale round. The schools are namely Gurukul Grammar Senior Secondary School-Guwahati, Army Public School-Tezpur, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya-Sonitpur, Delhi public School Onge- Nazira, Don Bosco Higher Secondary School- Tezpur. Carmel School- Jorhat, Budding Buds Sr. Sec. School-Tinsukia and Kendriya Vidyalaya ARC Doomdooma-Tinsukia.
The State Champion Assam school will win prize money of Rs.2,50,000 while the participants students will win Rs.25,000 each.
In the previous edition of the quiz, Amalorpavam Higher Secondary School, Puducherry was declared
the National Champions, DAV Public School Jharkhand & Kendriya Vidyalaya Tezpur No IV, Assam were declared as 1st Runner-Up and 2nd Runner-Up respectively. The winning team took home a cash prize of Rs. 25 lakhs for school and Rs. 5 lakhs for the team members.
The Fit India Quiz gives a unique platform to school students from every nook and corner of the country to showcase their knowledge in sports and fitness and provides them an opportunity to feature on National Television.
