Football 4 Change Academy kick off DSC with dominating victory, BBFS Shillong scalp win

Football 4 Change Academy kicked off their Dream Sports Championship campaign with a massive 6-0 win against Assam Warriors Sports Academy at IIT Guwahati on Monday. The last edition’s regional finalists struck four goals in the first half to take strong lead.

The side got off the mark courtesy an own goal from Himal Chetri in the 15th minute. Later, Kishor Tiwari and Mangminlun Touthang made it 3-0 in a span of one minute as they got their names on the scoresheet in 30th and 31st minute respectively. The two were joined by Lunkhongam Chongloi who added two goals to his tally. He first scored in the 42nd minute and then in 73rd minute.

Gingunhao Haokip added more misery in injury time in 91st minute to stretch the lead to 6-0 and clinch a comprehensive victory.

In the second encounter of Guwahati’s Day 1 of the U-17 Football Tournament, BBFS Shillong defeated Salbari Rebels United FC 2-1. After the first half ended 0-0, BBFS Shillong’s Milli Putum struck the first goal in 63rd minute to help his side take the first lead. Later, riding on Anupam Bordoloi’s strike in 73rd minute, Salbari Rebels United FC got back into the hunt. But Thoudam Dilsan’s 82nd-minute goal provided BBFS the lead and took them over the line.
