Guwahati, June 07 (NKTV): Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi today, during his address to the nation, announced free vaccination for all citizens of India. “From June 21, the Centre will provide free vaccines to the states for all citizens above the age of 18 years” said Modi.
Modi also stated that private hospitals can charge an amount of only Rs 150 as service charge on vaccines.
“The Government of India will buy 75% of the total vaccine production from vaccine manufacturers and give it free to the state governments” Modi said.
The PM termed the present pandemic as the deadliest in the past 100 years and informed that the vaccine supply shall increase in the coming days. “The process of procuring vaccines from abroad has been also sped up” Modi informed.
