In a welcome development, Google Pay users in India and Singapore can now receive money from US app users as Google Pay’s features have been expanded to include remittance services. Google Pay has tied up with Wise and Western Union to make these features available to its customers.
People in India and Singapore will receive the full amount, however all charges will be payable by the sender. An official of Google Pay said, “Even with COVID a lot of people have relocated around the world and we wanted to focus on how we can help facilitate these payments.”
Google Pay has over 150 million users in 40 countries and due to the Covid-19 pandemic the online payments and transactions, especially in Google Pay, saw a massive increase both in India and across the globe.
