The Grassroot Karate Athlete Development Programme launched by the Assam State Karate Association with an aim to bring out karate players from the grassroots level is going on in full swing in various districts of the state. Accordingly, the programme was carried out in Lakhimpur and Nagaon. The training camp in Lakhimpur is being conducted by Sashanka Sukla Boidya and Rocktutpal Bikash Chetia. Anjan Chetia was the observer of this camp. The camp was inaugurated by Rajkumar Bora, president of Lakhimpur District Karate Do Association. On the other hand, the training camp in Nagaon is being conducted by Tirthankar Baishya and Safikul Rahman. Mridul Gogoi was the observer of this camp. The camp was inaugurated by Leela Bora, vice-president of Assam State Karate Association. It is to be noted that the players who have been selected after training at the district level will be invited to the state level training camp. The players selected from the state level camp will be trained by national level coaches outside the state.
