Guwahati Police arrests drug trafficker in Manipur
Guwahati, August 26 (NKTV): A team of Guwahati Police along with Manipur Police conducted a joint operation and arrested a linkman of a Manipur based drug trafficking network.
Officials have informed the linkman was trying to spread tentacles in Assam.
The accused has been identified as one Shabir Ahamad who hails from Kwakta in Bishnupur district.
The arrest has been made in connection with Basistha Police Station Case No 1533/21 u/s 21(C)/29 NDPS Act, which relates to the earlier seizure of a large quantity of Heroin and a truck as well as the arrest of two accused in Guwahati on August 19.
“Preliminary questioning has revealed valuable information about drug trafficking networks. Investigation of the case is on to unearth further linkages” stated the Assam Police.
