The new chief minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, visited temples in Guwahati to take the blessings of Almighty ahead of taking oath to his office. Early in the morning, he visited Sri Sri Eswar Hati Satra in Sualkuchi and prayed for prosperity and development in Assam during his tenure.
Thereafter, he visited Doul Govinda Temple in North Guwahati and took blessings from God for his upcoming venture as chief minister of Assam. Then, Himanta Biswa Sarma visited Kamakhya Temple with his team and took blessings there also.
Himanta Biswa Sarma is all set to take oath as the next chief minister of Assam today, 10th May, at Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra’s International Auditorium in Panjabari. The oath taking ceremony is scheduled to be held from 12 pm onwards. Various national leaders including JP Nadda and Baijayant Panda are likely to be present.
