IIT Guwahati’s Annual Fest, Alcheringa 2023 begins

One of India’s renowned cultural festivities- ‘Alcheringa’ has returned with its 27th edition from February 2nd to 5th, 2023. IIT Guwahati’s annual cultural festival- Alcheringa 2023 has begun today with a beautiful ceremonial event graced by Mrs Bandana Barthakur, CMD Borthakur’s IAS Academy, Prof Anamika barua Dean of Student affairs Prof Manish kumar – Chairman Cultural Boarde IIT-G along with other dignitaries.

After two years of online mode due to COVID restrictions, this year the festivity has geared up with an extravagant celebration with popular musical bands like the Yellow Diary, musicians from all genres- like Vishal & Shekhar, Ragini Shankar, comedians, content creators, YouTubers, and many more artists.

Initiated in the year 1996, Alcheringa us the torchbearer of musical nights or rock culture in the region which gained popularity all over the nation. Every year a number of participations are registered here from almost all educational institutes in northeast India. All these years this festival has gained a nationwide appreciation, we are hoping for a good show this year as well.
