Guwahati, July 8 (NKTV): In an operation against sale of illicit liquor in Mushalpur of Baksa district, a team of Assam Police recovered over 20 bottles of IMFL being sold by one Ghanashyam Roy at his grocery store.
The team subsequently apprehended Roy and while conducting medical test, it was found that Roy is Covid positive. He is now being treated at Dr Ravi Boro Civil Hospital.
The police has informed that Roy had been running the illicit liquor trade at his grocery store for a long time now. “We will take the necessary action once he is treated” informed an official.
