IMD forecasts moderate rain & thunderstorms over Eastern India
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for moderate rain and thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds over Eastern India today. The IMD said the heatwave prevailing over the eastern and southern peninsular regions of the country will abate gradually.
The region is expected to witness a wet spell accompanied by thunderstorms for the next few days. A fresh spell of heat is also expected over Rajasthan and west Madhya Pradesh for the next two days.
