In Bangladesh, at least 13 people were killed and several others were injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a pick-up on Dhaka-Khulna highway in Faridpur district on Tuesday morning. The accident happened at about 8 am. All the deceased were the passengers of the pickup van.
Confirming the incident, superintendent of police in Faridpur Mohammad Morshed Alam said that 11 people died on the spot and two were declared dead after being taken to a nearby hospital.
The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
On information, a Fire Service team rushed to the spot and conducted rescue operations, reports UNB.
