Guwahati, July 26 (NKTV): The Indian cricket team defeated Sri Lanka by 38 runs in the first T20i at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. With the win India have taken 1-0 lead in the three-match T20i series. This is India’s ninth victory against Sri Lanka in their last 10 completed T20i matches.
India scored 164/5 from their 20 overs after being put into bat with Suryakumar Yadav impressing with a half-century, accompanied by Shikhar Dhawan’s 46. Meanwhile Bhuvneshwar Kumar finished with 4/22 as chasing 165, Sri Lanka were bowled out for 126.
