India evacuates 626 people from Afghanistan

Guwahati, August 25 (NKTV): The Government of India till now has evacuated a total of 626 people including 228 Indian citizens from Afghanistan.

Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri informed that 77 Afghan Sikhs have been evacuated from Afghanistan.

It may be mentioned here that Puri also received the Guru Granth Sahib brought from Kabul at the Delhi airport yesterday.

The Minister said that the evacuations should not be politicised.
