Yesterday, hosts Sri Lanka defeated Bangladesh by seven wickets. Riding on Vishmi Gunaratne’s half-century, Sri Lanka crossed the winning line within 17.1 overs. Nahida Akter was the best bowler for Bangladesh, as she clinched three wickets.
Earlier, opting to bat first, Bangladesh scored 111 runs for eight wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Skipper Nigar Sultana with a 48-run knock off 59 balls helped Bangladesh to put in a decent total. For Sri Lanka, Udeshika Prabodhani and Inoshi Priyadharshani grabbed two wickets each. Vishmi Gunaratne was declared player of the match.
