Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) defeated the Delhi Capitals (DC) by 1 run in a nail biting match in IPL on Tuesday.
DC chosed to bowl first after winning the toss and skillfully restricted restrict RCB for a score of 171 runs in 20 overs. For the Bangalore side, Ab de Villiers of South Africa scored a splendid 75 runs of just 42 balls which helped RCB reach a respectable total of 171 in the slowly Ahmedabad pitch.
Chasing a target of 172 runs, DC captain Risabh Pant’s 58 runs and Shimron Hetmyer’s 53 runs gave the team s hope of winning. However, in the end RCB bowlers had the last laugh, winning the match by just 1 run. For the Bangalore side, Harshal Patel took 2 important wickets. AB de Villiers for his outstanding innings was awarded with the man of the match.
