Italy lifts Euro Cup after 28 years
Guwahati, July 12 (NKTV):Italy defeated England 3-2 in penalties to clinch the UEFA Euro Cup after 28 years. Italian goalkeeper’s Gianluigi Donnarumma saved two England penalties which helped the team to get 3-2 shootout win after the teams had fought out a 1-1 extra-time draw at a Wembley on Sunday.
England’s Luke Shaw gave England a flying start by scoring a goal in initial two minutes of the match but Italy made a superb comeback and levelled the score in 67 minutes after Bonucci scored.
Meanwhile Cristiano Ronaldo won the golden boot award by scoring 5 goals in 4 matches and Italian goal keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma won the Golden ball award.
