“Karmashree”- the Chief Minister’s Award for excellence in Public Administration is conferred in order to acknowledge, recognize and reward the extraordinary, exemplary and innovative work done by the officers of the districts/organisations of the State Government.
“Karmashree” was introduced in the year 2016-17 and it consists a trophy, an incentive of Rs. 1 (One) Lakh to be utilized for implementation of the initiative or bridging the resource gap in any area of public welfare.
This year, a total of 52 applications were received and out of these only 06 (Six) initiatives shortlisted for conferring the award on the basis of the achievements which have wide impact on encouraging community participation, inclusive, scalable and are for the benefit of general Public.
Further Performance in core Government activities, innovativeness, replicability and sustainability, improvement in efficiency and effectiveness in governance were also taken into consideration. On the basis of these criteria and backdrop the following 6(Six) initiatives/implementations were selected for conferring Karmashree 23-24:-
