The Haryana government has decided to extend the lockdown in the state till May 24. The health minister of Haryana Anil Vij today announed the government decision of extending lockdown in the state due to ongoing Covid-19 second wave.
The minister tweeted “Mahamari Alert-Surakshit Haryana extended from May 17 to May 24. Stringent measures will be taken to implement the alert.” The state of Haryana had reported 9,676 new infections officially on Saturday, however the cases are declining continusly due to lockdown in Haryana.
Meanwhile, the government of Delhi has also decided to extend the lockdown by another week and will now end at 5 am on May 24. With this extension metro services across the national capital will also closed till May 24th. Delhi had reported 6,430 cases of dreaded coronavirus in the last 24 hours.
