Major drug bust in Goalpara | Substances worth Rs 10 crore seized
Guwahati, July 1 (NKTV): In another major breakthrough of Assam Police in their War on Drugs, a team of Goalpara Police seized drugs and psychotropic substances worth approximately 10 crore rupees.
One serial offender Jahangir Alom have been arrested by the police in relation to the recovery. Reportedly, Jahangir was running an underground mini factory to produce codeine-based cough syrup at Bhalukdubi.
Jahangir is presently in police custody. Further investigation underway.
