Modest guest list at Himanta Biswa oath taking ceremony due to Covid situation

Assam Chief Minister elect Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma will be taking oath as the 15th Chief Minister of Assam tomorrow at Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra, Guwahati. The ceremony will see limited guests due to the prevailing pandemic situation.

The members of the BJP Legislature Party and the national observers who were present today will attend the oath taking ceremony. The members of the Mitrajot will also be present.

The other guests who have been invited to grace the occasion are:

• BJP National President, JP Nadda
• -Dr. M Chuba, Vice President of BJP
• Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State for Development of Northeastern Region
• – The chief ministers of the neighbouring states of Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Nagaland, Meghalaya and
  -The Deputy CM of Arunachal Pradesh.
