Guwahati, June 07 (NKTV): A Monsoon warning has been issued by the Regional Meteorological (RMC) Centre in Guwahati for Assam and other Parts of the North Eastern Region.
According to the RMC, the regions mentioned are expected to experience lightning and thunderstorm in the coming days.
The RMC has predicted moderate rainfall and thundershowers in Assam and other parts of the North Eastern Region as well. The forecast is based on the ‘Southwest Monsoon’ that has advanced into more parts of Central Bay of Bengal and North East Bay of Bengal and hence the entire North Eastern states of India, most parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim starting June 06, 2021.
“The weather forecast for the coming three days i.e from June 06-08, we are expecting moderate rain, thundershowers are very likely to occur at most places over Assam among other North Eastern States and Regions,” confirmed Dr Sanjay O’Neill Shaw, Regional Meteorological Centre.
