NCHAC Election: Validly nominated candidates 101, Withdrawal 8

List of validly nominated candidates for the election to the 13th North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council, 2023-24 was declared by the Returning Officer (RO) and District Commissioner, Dima Hasao Simanta Kumar Das today.

According to the final list all together 101 (One hundred and one) numbers of intending candidates had filed their nomination papers to contest for 28 seats during the ensuing council election. All the nomination papers filed were found valid as informed by the RO. Out of 101 candidates, 8 (eight) intending candidates have withdrawn their candidature.

The names of constituencies from which candidates have withdrawn are one from 9-Maibang East, two from 10 Maibang West, one from 13 –Hajadisa, one from 16- Diyungmukh (Diyungbra), one from 20-Gunjung, one from 23- Harangjao, one from 24- Hamri.

Simanta Kumar Das, RO cum DC has requested all the citizens to cooperate for ensure peaceful conduct of the upcoming election.

The list has been sent to the Election Commission after proper scrutiny and validation by the Election office, Haflong headed by the Returning Officer.
