New government should work to curb Covid-19: Congress
The Congress Party, after its loss in the Assam Assembly elections, has bowed to the mandate of the people and congratulated the BJP for its victory. In a press meet, Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi said, “We congratulate BJP for their win and hope the new government will work to solve the ongoing vaccine scarcity in Assam and also combat the Covid-19 crisis in the state.” He further thanked the people of Titabor from where he belongs and where once his father Tarun Gogoi reigned.
Meanwhile senior leader Rakibul Hussain said that the new government should look to curb the spread of coronavirus and in this tough time “we are also keen to help them.” He further added that last year also his party members gave one month’s salary for combating Covid-19 and this year also they are ready to do the same.
