Guwahati, July 6 (NKTV): Assam Health Minister Keshab Mahanta in a press meet today announced the new SOP for the state that shall come to effect from 5:00 AM of July 07.
Seven districts of Assam – Biswanath, Goalpara, Golaghat, Jorhat, Sonitpur, Morigaon and Lakhimpur have been declared as full containment zones. Essential services shall continue in these districts.
The Health Minister also informed that the ban on inter-district travel shall continue.
Sivasagar and Dibrugarh districts are on high alert.
Curfew in Kamrup district shall be from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM.
All government employees who have taken at least one dose of Covid vaccine shall attend office, except in total containment zones. Employees who have not taken vaccine will have to attend office as and when their services are required by respective authorities.
There will be a complete ban on the movement of private and public vehicles in the containment zones. However, movement of goods will continue.
All educational institutions shall remain closed; however, online classes shall continue.
Wearing of face mask is compulsory in public places.
