Newly elected Tamulpur MLA Leho Ram Boro succumbs to Covid-19
Newly elected MLA of Tamulpur constituency and UPPL leader Leho Ram Boro have succumbed to Covid-19 on Friday morning at 9.15 am. The deceased leader was admitted to GMCH and was undergoing Covid-19 treatment. Earlier he was tested positive for coronavirus on 27th of May and was admitted to ICU of GMCH after his health deteriorated.
The United People’s Party, Liberal (UPPL) candidate won the seat by defeating Rangja Khungur Basumatary from Bodoland Peoples Front (BPF) with a margin of 32183 votes in the recently conducted Assam Assembly Polls.
