No inter-district travel in Assam | Details of new SOP here

Guwahati, June 21 (NKTV): The Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) has recently issued new directives that shall come to effect from 5:00 AM of June 22, 2021 until further notice. As per the new directives, inter-district travel in Assam has been put on hold until notified otherwise.

As per the new directives issued:

  • Curfew has been imposed in Guwahati from 2:00 PM to 5:00 AM.
  • Curfew in Majuli, Dima Hasao, Charaideo, South Salmara, Bongaigaon, West Karbi Anglong, Udalguri and Chirang shall commence from 5:00 PM.
  • In other districts, curfew has been imposed from 1:00 PM.
  • For shops and commercial entities, directive remain as earlier.
  • All employees, government and private, who have taken both doses of vaccine shall have to attend office.
  • Pregnant women and mother with child below five years of age can work from home.
  • Wearing of mask is mandatory even for a single person travelling in a vehicle alone.

If situation does not improve, the districts viz. Dibrugarh, Nagaon, Tinsukia, Cachar and Sonitpur might see stricter rules and regulation or even a total lockdown.
