Guwahati, August 30 (NKTV): Noted Bengali author and writer Buddhadeb Guha passed away late Sunday in a private hospital at Kolkata. The died at age 85. The writer was infected with Covid-19 and was admitted in the hospital for over a month.
Guha had to be hospitalised again few days back with lung and urinary tract problems. According to reports, hedied around 11.30 pm on Sunday due to post-Covid complications after a massive cardiac arrest.
Buddhadeb Guha was one of the most popular writers who created the popular children’s character Rijuda and his sidekick Rudra, who explore jungles. He is best remembered for his novel Madhukori which is considered a milestone in Bengali literature.
