Guwahati, June 04 (NKTV): As informed by officials of NF Railway, the old Saraighat Bridge shall remain closed for three months from June 04 for repairing works.
the bridge is presently under maintenance and repairing by the NF Railway.
For this three month time period, the new Saraighat bridge by the side of the old bridge shall serve commuters of both the sides.
Workers have informed that rubber pitching is presently being done at the bridge. “We have asked the government for a time period of three months but we hope to complete the repairing by two months” a contractor said.
