The 76th Republic Day Parade at Kartavya Path, New Delhi, on January 26, 2025, will witness the participation of over 135 special invitees from Assam, along with their families, as honored guests. This initiative aligns with the government’s commitment to enhancing ‘Jan Bhagidari’ in events of national significance.
Overall, around 10,000 special guests from across the country, representing diverse backgrounds, have been invited to this grand national celebration. These distinguished individuals include high achievers in various fields and beneficiaries of government schemes, showcasing their remarkable contributions and success stories.
Among the honored guests, over 135 individuals from Assam, including women, youth, farmers, and entrepreneurs, will join the celebrations. Their presence symbolizes the inclusive spirit of the event and the recognition of their contributions to society.
Niresh Chandra Barman, a farmer from Salkocha, Dhubri, shared his pride in being part of the Republic Day celebrations, commending Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s unwavering support for farmers. “It is a moment of immense honor to represent Assam at such a significant national occasion,” he remarked.
Reena Daimary, a successful entrepreneur from Goalpara district, runs a piggery farm and cake-making business. She expressed her heartfelt thanks to the government for including her in this prestigious occasion, emphasizing the support she has received in her entrepreneurial journey.
Raju Uraon, Forester Grade-I at Kaziranga Eastern Assam Wildlife Division, conveyed his joy at being invited for the first time. He extended his gratitude to the Kaziranga Authority, the Government of Assam, and the Central Government for this honor.
Sabita Terongpi, a beneficiary of the Lakhpati Didi Scheme from Biswanath district, shared her pride in attending the Republic Day celebrations. She stated, “I am deeply grateful to the state and central governments for selecting me for this special occasion.”
Pramod Saikia from Mangaldoi, a beneficiary of the PM Surya Ghar Scheme, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity, acknowledging the scheme’s impact on his life.
In addition to witnessing the Republic Day Parade, these special guests will have the opportunity to visit prominent landmarks in Delhi, including the National War Memorial and the PM Sangrahalaya. They will also interact with various Union Ministers, further enhancing their experience.
