Congratulating the new appointees, PM Modi emphasized their vital role in strengthening India’s economy, infrastructure, security, and social welfare. “Your dedication will accelerate our journey towards a ‘Viksit Bharat’,” he said.

Stressing the importance of youth in national development, the Prime Minister noted that when young people actively participate in a country’s progress, it paves the way for rapid growth. He praised initiatives like Skill India, Startup India, and Digital India for fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and technological leadership among India’s youth, citing achievements such as UPI, ONDC, and the GeM platform.

PM Modi also highlighted the government’s Manufacturing Mission announced in the 2025-26 Union Budget, aimed at boosting the ‘Make in India’ initiative and encouraging young entrepreneurs to create globally competitive products. He pointed to record growth in industries like automobiles, footwear, and Khadi, noting that Khadi’s turnover has crossed ₹1.7 lakh crore.

Talking about infrastructure, he shared impressive statistics on inland waterways, revealing that cargo transport through waterways has grown from 18 million tonnes in 2014 to 145 million tonnes today, and that the number of national waterways has expanded from 5 to over 110, covering nearly 5,000 kilometers.

PM Modi announced the launch of the World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES 2025) in Mumbai, a new platform for young content creators to explore opportunities in AI and new media technologies. Workshops will also be organized to train youth in these emerging fields.

He lauded the increasing role of women in nation-building, highlighting that women secured the top two ranks in the latest UPSC results, calling it a testament to the growing inclusivity in India’s success stories.

Encouraging environmental stewardship, the Prime Minister urged the youth to participate in the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign by planting a tree in honor of their mothers.

Closing his address, PM Modi expressed confidence in building a “Viksit and Samriddh Bharat” with the collective efforts of the country’s youth.

The new recruits will serve in various key ministries, including Home Affairs, Railways, Labour and Employment, Revenue, and Higher Education.
