Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to arrive in Assam on Monday evening for a two-day visit, according to Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Upon arrival, Modi will head to the Sarusajai Sports Complex, where he will witness ‘Jhumoir Binanandini,’ a vibrant dance performance by nearly 9,000 artistes from the tea tribe community. The prime minister will tour the stadium in a special vehicle, greeting the performers and audience before enjoying a laser show themed around Assam’s rich cultural heritage.

Following the cultural events, Modi will visit the Advantage Assam 2.0 Infrastructure and Investment Summit. He will inaugurate exhibitions at two galleries at the Veterinary College Field in Khanapara. One gallery, titled ‘Pride of Assam,’ will showcase the state’s traditional industries, while the other, ‘Future of Assam,’ will highlight modern industries and infrastructure developments. The prime minister is expected to spend around 45 minutes exploring the exhibits on Monday.

On Tuesday, Modi will officially inaugurate the Advantage Assam 2.0 Summit, which will be attended by prominent industrialists including Mukesh Ambani, Gautam Adani, Anil Agarwal, Prashant Ruia, and Sajjan Jindal, along with local entrepreneurs.

The prime minister is scheduled to depart for New Delhi on Tuesday afternoon.
