Guwahati, June 27 (NKTV): With Ripun Bora stepping down as the President of Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC), Rajiv Bhawan is now bracing up to elect the next Party President for Assam. However, with that has arrived internal politics within the party.
The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has already initiated the process to appoint the new President of APCC. Former President Ripun Bora has stated that the AICC is presently studying the scenario to take a decision.
According to sources, MP Pradyut Bordoloi and Bhupen Bora are the top contenders for the post of President. While Bhupen Borah has the support of Ripun Bora and Rakibul Hussain among others, Pradyut Bordoloi is being supported by Gaurav Gogoi and Debabrata Saikia.
