The first-ever edition of All Assam prize-money non-ranking Badminton championship-2021 began on Saturday with a two-day programme scheduled at KDSA indoor stadium in Kokrajhar.
Nearly 150 participants from 25 districts of the state are participating in the championship which has been organised by Kokrajhar District Badminton Association (KDBA) for creating a sports healthy environment among the youths in the region.
BTC council head of department (CHD) for Sports & Youth Welfare Department, Jajnawati Basumatary graced the opening event as chief guest and inaugurated the event amidst the presence of sport’s fraternities. Basumatary lauded the organisers for organizing the Badminton championship in Kokrajhar which has been emphasized to hunt talents across the region.
