Pro Panja to headline at the Winter Festival in Mizoram, Three players from Assam will participate

Three players from Assam will participate in the Pro Panja League to be held in Mizoram. The players are Nilay Shankar, Ishan Kashyap and Trideep Medhi. Nilay will play Mizoram’s Banlallura while Ishan Kashyap will face Kimkima Meanwhile. Tridip Medhi will play against Mizoram’s Raymond. Mizoram’s Lalnunpuy will play Kazakhstan’s Bekjan Ramyanov and Danik Lalruatluang will play Asanali Nurmagambet.

Mizoram’s Winter Festival returns with a fresh plan this year, collaborating with the Pro Panja League making it a festival cum Arm Wrestling Event at the Assam Rifles Ground. The event is a celebration of the diversity and culture of Mizoram, and will see a number of North East athletes take part on December 17th.

The Pro Panja matches will be a part of the winter festival, which will also see music performances throughout. The event will also be live-streamed on December 17th Zonet app and website from 7pm onwards.The event is a celebration of the diversity and culture of Mizoram, and will see one of their own, Denic Lalruattluanga headlining the Pro Panja Mizoram Mega Matches on December 17th.

Denic Lalruattluanga is a Pro Panja League athlete and came into prominence after his victory at the Asian Arm Wrestling Championship earlier this year. He has been immensely popular in the region since his result and the locals have not left any stone unturned to show their support for their champion.

This will be his next big fight against an international competitor, Assanali Nurmagambet of Kazakhstan.

The Pro Panja League will also be officially announcing the North-Eastern Championship that will take place in 2025, specifically for North-Eastern states and their athletes.

Expressing his enthusiasm for bringing the sport to the North-East, Parvinn Dabass, Co-Founder of Pro Panja League said, “We are delighted to see the kind of response the sport has got in Assam and other regions in the North-East, and we are excited to be a part of the Winter Festival. We are also really proud of Denic, and having seen his journey first-hand, we are pleased to see the kind of love and reception he has received from everyone in the region. This is sure to create a boom for the sport of Arm Wrestling in Mizoram.”

So, we are glad that it will be a part of the Winter Festival this year and are hopeful that Denic’s success will inspire a lot of youngsters to take up the sport in the coming years.”
