Guwahati, July 17 (NKTV): Indian-origin Irish cricketer Simi Singh scripted history by becoming the first cricketer in ODI cricket to score a century while batting at number 8. The 34-year-old all-rounder smashed a sparkling 100 in just 91 balls against the Proteas in the third and final ODI in Dublin.

The Punjab-born cricketer scored 14 fours in his explosive innings but despite his hundred, South Africa won the match, courtesy Janneman Malan’s 177 from 169 deliveries.
